Running a business is becoming increasingly complex. Allegations or concerns may be raised by employees or third parties at any time in relation to a wide variety of matters. For example, the business could suddenly be faced with an allegation of sexual harassment made against a senior member of the management team, or a client could inform you that they believe a group of your employees have been committing fraud. If left unaddressed or not addressed properly, these allegations and concerns can lead to internal turmoil, long-term problems, claims and damage to the business.
In our latest session for HR professionals and in-house employment counsel in Hong Kong, we will be discussing how to address and investigate potentially sensitive allegations and concerns effectively. In this interactive session, we will look at: the circumstances in which an investigation may need to be undertaken; why an external investigator may be necessary; what the role of the investigator is; how to structure an investigation and draft an investigation report; when a forensic investigation may be required; and how best to undertake an investigation to minimise the disruption caused to your business.
We are delighted that we will be joined by Fred Chan, Director in the Disputes, Forensics and Legal Technology practice of Navigant, a company which provides forensic expertise, who will share his views on the forensic aspect of investigations.
