FULLY BOOKED - Contingent workers and their employment status continue to be a topical and problematic area.

The Court of Appeal’s ruling on whether Uber drivers are “workers” is now being appealed to the Supreme Court, and the Government’s response to the Taylor Review indicates that it will be taking steps to clarify the relevant legal tests. This practical session will use case studies to illustrate the latest position and explain how best to avoid running into problems with employment status. We’ll also cover the important new rules on IR35 tax for contractors which will apply to all businesses in the private sector.
