Collective consultation comes in different guises. Whether you’re dealing with a TUPE transfer, mass redundancies (including fire and rehire) or trade unions, you need to know a thing or two about employee representatives.
We will look at the legal framework regarding reps (when they are needed, who can act as one, how they are put in place, and information and consultation options) along with some tips and tricks to keep things on track. We will also take a closer look at how current events are impacting collective bargaining and industrial action – such as high inflation, back and forth on using agency workers during strikes, new legislation to ensure minimum service levels during certain strikes and a sharp increase in trade unions bringing ET claims against employers for bypassing collective bargaining.
