I am an Associate in the Employment, Immigration & Reward division, based in the Oxford office.
I joined Lewis Silkin as an NQ after completing my training contract at an international tech firm. Since then, I have worked with employers and employees across sectors as diverse as sports, technology, retail and education.
In addition to advising on day-to-day HR issues, I draft the usual suite of employment documents, settle employment disputes and defend claims in the Employment Tribunal for companies of all sizes. I also guide employers through redundancy processes and difficult workplace disputes.
I am particularly interested in the future of work and the ever-changing demands of the workplace.
As a member of Lewis Silkin’s Sports Sector Focus Group, I have the enviable pleasure of working with some of the world’s leading clubs, organisations and sporting professionals. I am on hand to provide employment advice during contract negotiations, disciplinary or grievance investigations as well as a whole host of other issues unique to the world of sports. To date, this has included:
- drafting player and manager contracts for Premiership Rugby clubs;
- advising on player loans to other clubs; and
- guiding sports agencies and football players through settlement agreements.
Outside of the office, the chances are you’ll find me exploring the great outdoors or running around a football pitch. I am due to start the FA Level 1 Coaching Football course later this year.
