I advise on a wide range of employment law issues.
I advise employers on the whole range of general employment issues (such as reviewing policies, advising on terminations and restructurings, and responding to tribunal claims).
I am an experienced litigator. I regularly assist clients with high value litigation, often involving complex and sensitive discrimination claims and sometimes involving cross-border issues. I also frequently advise clients on high court litigation matters, usually in relation to restrictive covenants, garden leave and confidential information. I have also acted for a client in a large scale arbitration.
My client base is broad, and includes various organisations across the professional and financial services sectors as well as law firms.
Partnerships & LLPsI have experience of advising clients that are partnerships and LLPS, including law firms and professional service firms. I have acted for these clients in relation to general employment law queries and also in high value litigation and arbitration. Additionally I have experience in advising on fiduciary obligations and any breaches of these obligations, as well as resolving disputes between members.
Data and Privacy
I regularly advise clients on the full range of data protection issues that affect the workplace.
I have experience advising clients on international employee data transfers and data subject access requests, as well as drafting social media and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) policies. Previously, I have also advised clients on the data protection issues on topics ranging from criminal background checks to the installation of employee monitoring systems.
I also write regularly on data protection for both Lewis Silkin and third party publications, and am a member of IAPP, the International Association of Privacy Professionals.
