I am a commercial and IP lawyer with a focus on music, talent, media, and brands.
I work with clients in the creative, media and entertainment industries to advise on licensing, brand partnerships, sponsorship, talent deals, collaborations, marketing campaigns, and live events. The main focus on my practice is music; I advise clients on rights clearances for live events; negotiate contracts with artists, labels, and publishers for major marketing campaigns; draft brand partnership and sponsorship contracts for music-led projects, as well as advising on production, venue and location agreements, talent releases, and advertising regulatory issues. I also work with clients on music-focussed acquisitions involving the sale and purchase of artist catalogues and record label assets.
My clients include creative agencies, festival organisers, talent agencies, fashion brands, production companies and publishers. I have worked with clients in these sectors for a number of years and have spent time in-house on secondment to a theatre company, modelling agency, media agency and Premier League football club. Prior to joining the Digital, Commerce & Creative team in 2019, I had spent three years in the firm’s Immigration practice advising agencies, brands, sports clubs and individuals on the global movement of talent.
As well as my work in the media & entertainment sectors, I also have experience advising clients on a wide range of other commercial contracts, including franchising, technology, manufacturing, and general services agreements.
