I have been a Partner in the Employment, Immigration and Reward division since 2016 having joined the firm as a trainee in 2002. I am also the firm’s Training Principal. I have a particular focus on advising corporate clients on all of their workforce issues, partnership law and investigations.
I am recognised in Legal 500 for my work. I work with corporate clients across a variety of sectors, with a particular focus on the professional services sector. I am also an experienced investigator.
Employment
Whilst my practice covers many aspects of employment and partnership law, I specialise in:
- high value and commercially sensitive employment litigation on issues such as discrimination and whistleblowing
- advising on sensitive senior terminations
- strategic advice on projects including those involving redundancy, restructuring and culture change
- navigating complex disciplinary and grievance issues
Many of my clients are in the professional services and creative sectors. A significant proportion of my work is advising law firms on their own internal HR issues and representing them in employment tribunal and arbitration proceedings. I have undertaken a secondment to an international law firm during which I advised on employee relations issues and internal equal opportunities policies.

- advising a premier league football club on worker status issues
- advising a global advertising agency through a sale process involving international TUPE issues
- defending race discrimination proceedings against an international energy company
- advising a private equity house on a team move
Partnerships & LLPs
As part of my work with professional services firms I advise on partnership law issues. These include issues relating to retirement, expulsion, discrimination and partnership/employment status. I also act for such firms in relation to their internal employment issues. As part of my work in the law firms sector, I setup the Up and Coming Legal HR Network which facilitates networking opportunities for HR professionals in this sector.
Examples of my work include:
- acting for a US law firm in an employment tribunal claim involving allegations of whistleblowing and discrimination
- arbitrating age discrimination proceedings brought by a former partner against an international law firm
- advising international law firms on partner misconduct matters including regulatory issues
- advising a law firm in relation to a sexual harassment grievance made against an equity partner
Investigations
I am instructed to undertake highly sensitive and complex investigations.
Examples of my work include:
- investigating allegations of an alleged culture and specific instances of racism for the Barbican (in the public domain)
- investigating allegations of sexual harassment made by a junior lawyer against an equity partner
- investigating allegations of alleged corporate misgovernance made against a board of directors
- investigating allegations of theft of confidential information for an automotive company
