Brexit: Implications for NI Employers of EU Nationals
22 January 2021The Brexit implementation period ended at 11pm on 31 December 2020, and with it, free movement of persons in the EU also came to an end. This is despite the fact that the EU-UK Trade & Cooperation Agreement (TCA) was agreed between the UK and the EU on 24 December. Therefore, it is important to understand the new immigration rules that apply to EEA and Swiss nationals wishing to visit or work in Northern Ireland and vice versa.

Brexit: how it may impact commercial contracts in the EU?
22 June 2016Brexit, and the possibility that the United Kingdom as we know it today may leave the EU, will undoubtedly raise many implications for commercial contracts. A likely cause for major disruption in trading conditions in the UK and in the EU, many commercial deals may have overlooked the Brexit implications and failed to be negotiated and documented accordingly. We will discuss the points contractual parties should take on board so as to be prepared in case of Brexit.
