I specialise in advising companies in the natural resources sector on both pre-IPO fundraisings and IPOs on all UK markets, and, once quoted, on their ongoing corporate legal requirements including mergers and acquisitions and strategic joint ventures.
Recent projects include: advising several mining and oil & gas exploration companies with fundraisings in South Africa, DRC, Ghana, Congo and Gabon; assisting a South African mining group on making a significant investment in South East Asia; acting for a UK broker on a placing and IPO of a UK mining company with mining assets in Kosovo; acting for a UK broker on a rights issue for an ASX listed mining company with mining assets in West Africa.
I actively work alongside the UKTI, Foreign & Commonwealth Office and Foreign Governments with a view to assisting Foreign Governments to explore, identify and commercialise, untapped and under-developed mining and oil & gas opportunities in their respective countries with a view to bridging the gap with the London capital markets and increasing bilateral trade with the UK.
Through our network, we have an enhanced presence throughout Africa, South East Asia (Pakistan, India and China) and Latin America.
I also specialise in advising on pre-IPO, IPO and secondary fundraisings and am always happy to facilitate introductions between my mining and oil & gas clients and members of my global corporate finance network.
I am an active speaker on AIM and regularly attend Mines & Money, Mining Indaba, PDAC, Oil Barrel and Mining Journal’s 20:20 Investor Series Seminars.
