The UK Advertising Codes have been amended to loosen the rules on price comparisons, doing away with the previous requirement to compare goods or services that are “identical or substantially equivalent”. This will allow own label brands to make comparisons with premium branded equivalents, much to the elation of supermarkets and other retailers. Read more
