At Lewis Silkin, we are always looking for good people to join our team - as qualified lawyers, trainees and business services staff.
We'd like to hear from you:
Ius Laboris the global alliance of employment law specialist firms and The Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance (GALA).
We play an active role in the management, development and promotion of each of our Alliances.
Our membership of the Ius Laboris Alliance enables us to provide a unique and truly global HR solution for our clients. Ius Laboris is the largest group of independent and specialist lawyers ever brought together within this practice area. The Alliance includes over 2,500 of the world’s best HR law practitioners with member and affiliate firms providing coverage in over 100 countries.
As a testament to quality, the Alliance won ‘European Law Firm Network of the Year’ at The European Lawyer Awards 2011. The Alliance scored by far the highest number of points in a recent survey on international HR legal providers by PLC Cross-Border magazine which aimed to assess the most successfully developed and maintained global practices matching client needs and current market developments.
GALA provides a worldwide resource to individuals and corporations interested in answers to questions and solutions to problems involving the complex legal issues affecting advertisers and marketers (Lewis Silkin has a leading role in the alliance. GALA is represented in 54 territories internationally; each country is represented by only one firm of lawyers and membership is only granted and retained by firms who can demonstrate that they are the leading advertising lawyers within that jurisdiction.
We often find that clients like us to take on a central coordination role when we work on cross border projects – we can act as your single point of entry to specialists in each of these alliances. For example, we manage the advice and input from alliance members and can present you with one bill covering the input from all practices. Alternatively you may prefer to have a relationship with each individual firm.
Although we work very closely with both our alliances, we are not tied into using them. So when the need arises we select the best alternative adviser from the extensive range of law firms with whom we enjoy close working relationships. So unlike law firms who are tied into using their own network of offices, we can pick our team to suit each particular assignment and work with the firm that we think is best placed to provide our global clients with the support they need locally.
