I have 25 years’ experience advising on a diverse range of real estate transactions across sectors including retail, leisure, healthcare and energy.
I joined Lewis Silkin in 2015, prior to which I was a partner at Freshfields where I acted for corporates on large scale often multi-jurisdictional acquisitions, MBOs, reorganisations and disposals, and for private equity and investment funds on direct and indirect investments. I acted for the purchasers on the UK’s largest real estate outsourcing transactions, and related financing by securitisation and secured lending.
I have advised on Headquarters lettings including for a major bank, a magic circle law firm and a FTSE 250 company and on developments and their funding relating to office, residential, nursing home and warehouse premises.
I advised on restructurings and insolvencies including for administrators of Icelandic banks on loan book disposals and development loan realisation through restructuring, on Northern Rock, the division and sale of the mortgage book and investment portfolio of Bradford and Bingley, and for Galiform in connection with the group reorganisation, sale of MFI and MFIs administration and liquidation.
My broad experience has given me an all-round perspective and appreciation of issues likely to surface on transactions and solutions to them.
