I joined the team in April 2016 from a large full-service commercial law firm in Cardiff where I worked in the Real Estate team since qualification in 2008. I am experienced in acting for a diverse range of clients including institutional investors, large corporate and other private and public sector clients in all aspects of real estate transactions including commercial acquisitions and disposals, asset management, property development work, real estate finance, corporate support and all nature of landlord and tenant work. 

I strive to give clients clear, creative, and commercial advice to help them achieve their goals in a cost-effective and efficient manner in line with their business needs. I am experienced in acting for clients in all real estate matters arising through the life cycle of their assets and work closely with my colleagues to ensure all of my client’s legal requirements in other legal sectors can be catered for. 

My main interests outside of work include sport (in particular rugby, football, and walking), travelling, eating out, and spending time with my family and friends.

Real Estate & Development

I have experience in dealing with all types of commercial acquisitions and disposals, site developments (commercial and residential), and all aspects of landlord and tenant work including estate portfolio management.

Planning & Environment

I have experience in drafting and negotiating statutory planning, highway and utility agreements, and advising clients on general planning and environmental matters that may impact proposed real estate transactions.

Real Estate Finance

I have acted for a wide range of national financial institutions that provide loan facilities to assist with a range of acquisitions, developments, and/or to re-finance existing security. This has included acting on a number of large portfolio (commercial, residential and mixed-use) re-finance transactions.

Retail, Hospitality & Leisure

I am a member of the Lewis Silkin Retail, Hospitality & Leisure sector group and have acted for both landlord and tenant clients in granting or taking leases of a variety of retail and leisure premises. I also have over 8 years experience of acting for a landlord client in connection with the leasehold portfolio management of three listed Victorian Arcades in Cardiff’s central retail district which included a constant revolving range of tenants from start-ups to high street brands/retailers. I feel, therefore that I have acquired a good understanding of the industry and the property issues facing both landlords and tenants.

Media and Entertainment 

I am a member of the Lewis Silkin Media and Entertainment sector group and provide assistance to the clients of the firm’s Media and Entertainment practice in any real estate related matters they may encounter.
