I joined Lewis Silkin in September 2014 as an Associate. I have gained experience in a variety of commercial property matters, including property finance, landlord and tenant work, property management, development and sales and acquisitions.

Part of my role is to provide corporate support on wider business acquisitions and disposals where property can be either a peripheral, but important, or a fundamental and central, part of the deal. I also have experience in the restaurant sector, advising companies on opening new restaurants in different parts of the country and dealing with the unique elements that go with such a transaction.

In my spare time I enjoy playing and watching football, tennis and rugby, socialising with friends, cycling and travelling.

Real Estate

I advise on a range of property transactions, with a focus on commercial real estate, though I have experience with residential property and working with housing associations/registered providers also. This includes drafting, negotiating and reviewing transactional documentation such as leases, licences, agreements and contracts for sale.
My clients include large corporate investors, pension funds, property companies and developers alongside corporate occupiers and retailers. A number of my clients include media and advertising agencies, both institutional and start-ups. I aim to give my clients practical and straightforward advice on how best to achieve their objectives and make sure that the deal works for them. Different clients have different needs when it comes to legal advice and I tailor the work I work to suit them.

I advise on a range of commercial property transactions such as the drafting and negotiation of agreements, leases, licences and other property documentation. I act for both landlords and tenants, assisting them on all their property management needs.

I have acted for clients in both sales and purchases including undertaking due diligence on the assets involved in the transaction.

Clients have included property companies, pensions and investment funds as well as high net worth individuals and corporate occupiers as well as government agencies and financiers and football clubs. I enjoy working for a diverse group of clients and making sure that their requirements are met.

Advertising & Marketing

I advise on a variety of commercial property transactions with a focus on the media and advertising and technology sectors. This work includes property management and negotiating contracts for sale and purchase and the accompanying due diligence and all other ancillary documentation. A number of the advertising agencies I have worked with are start-ups, with little or no corporate background and so they require a very different service to well-established agencies seeking to expand their office space. I have acted for a number of different types of client and undertaken a range of different transactions each of which have different requirements and complexities which need to be addressed – no two deals are the same and so it is always fascinating to work together to overcome any hurdles along the way and to try to give real value back to the client.
