I provide assistance to clients on a broad range of commercial disputes, specialising in intellectual property, media and entertainment law.
I am ranked in Chambers & Partners for Intellectual Property and I am a CEDR accredited mediator. I believe in a practical and commercial approach to dispute resolution focusing on client objectives and solutions.
My work involves advising on: intellectual property infringement (copyright, trade marks and passing off, designs and breach of confidence); reputation management including issues concerning defamation and privacy; breach of contract; and technology disputes (particularly issues around performance, contract termination and ownership of IP). I advise global brands, marketing and advertising agencies, ISPs, managed hosting providers, telecommunication companies, publishers, broadcasters, insurers and other corporations and individuals within the media and entertainment and technology sectors.
I have conducted litigation across the court system, through the principal divisions of the High Court, up to the Court of Appeal and the Supreme Court. I litigate in a number of specialist Courts such as the Intellectual Property Enterprise Court and the Mercantile Court and act on opposition, revocation and invalidity proceedings in relation to registered rights in the UK and EU. I regularly advise on interim remedies such as injunctions and applications for different types of disclosure orders. Where appropriate I draw on my experience of various forms of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation and early neutral evaluation.
