I am an Associate having joined Lewis Silkin as a trainee in 2012.

I advise clients on the creation, protection, and enforcement of their intellectual property rights, with a specific focus on disputes involving copyright, trade marks and design rights across a wide range of sectors including media, entertainment, sport, retail, music, technology, and betting & gaming.

I studied French and Italian at the University of Exeter before completing the GDL and LPC in London. After my studies, I worked as a paralegal in commercial litigation for 18 months with a view to store up some industry experience and also to give me the opportunity to squeeze in a 7 month globe-trotting extravaganza before joining Lewis Silkin. Outside the office sports, much to the chagrin of others, seem to preoccupy the majority of my time; I am a long suffering Arsenal fan but you will more often than not find me venting my football frustrations on a squash court.

Brands & IP

I specialise in intellectual property law and act for individuals and businesses in the creative and tech industries, including designers, high street retailers, gambling operators and start-ups, who wish to protect their IP. I regularly advise brand owners on maintaining and enforcing their trade marks, handle various IP infringements and issues concerning defamation & privacy matters, and have considerable experience in the UK High Court.

Dispute Resolution

I represent clients in commercial disputes such as breach of contract, breach of confidence, and civil fraud. I advise on contractual and tortious claims within the retail, technology, financial, and betting & gaming sectors, as well as assisting clients with resolving disputes without recourse to the courts via methods of Alternative Dispute Resolution, including mediation proceedings.

I act for technology, retail and betting & gaming companies in respect of contractual issues and disputes, which involve IT and software developer, gaming platform and web hosting issues. As well as handling contentious issues, I also advise on the creation and exploitation of web-based technology, including drafting and negotiation of commercial agreements (IP/IT), software as a service and licence agreements.
