I have been a partner at Lewis Silkin since 2014 and cover the full range of corporate advice, working with companies, shareholders and management teams from incorporation through the lifecycle of a company to exit.
Over the last decade, I have spent a considerable amount of my time working with businesses in the creative sector, particularly in advertising, media, PR, sport and gaming.
Mergers & Acquisitions
My main day-to-day work tends to be acting for owner managers on the sale of their businesses and for international groups on their UK acquisitions. Acting for buyers and sellers allows me to see the deal from both sides of the table and foresee potential issues. My role is generally as the point of contact on the negotiation and drafting of the sale and purchase agreement, managing the internal transaction team at Lewis Silkin and coordinating with the client’s other external advisers on the project.
Advertising & Marketing
I am a member of the firm’s Advertising & Marketing Group and have worked with clients in this sector for nearly two decades. I act for multinational agencies on their UK acquisitions and for owner managed agencies on their sale or management buy-out. I also chair the Corporate section of the Global Advertising Lawyers Alliance.
Sports Business
I am a member of the firm’s Sports Business Group and have a postgraduate qualification in sports law. My expertise includes buying and selling clubs, joint ventures, international player transfers, and sports regulation. I have negotiated with many leading European football clubs, been involved in numerous international transfers and I have also worked in golf, rugby and cycling.
Interactive Entertainment
I am member of the firm’s Interactive Entertainment Group and provide the full range of Corporate advice to our gaming clients. It was great to lead on one of the most significant UK gaming deals in 2024.
