I am an Associate in Lewis Silkin’s Commercial practice group, specialising in the technology, media & entertainment, and sport industries.

I advise a diverse range of clients in these sectors, including technology and e-commerce companies; multi-national retailers; sports clubs; broadcasting, media and publishing firms; advertising agencies; and financial institutions.

I qualified as a solicitor at a City firm in September 2016. After qualification, I practiced in Dubai for 18 months specialising in technology, media and telecommunications law across both the UK and the Middle East, before moving back to London to join Lewis Silkin in April 2018. I graduated from King’s College London University with a degree in Law.

Commercial

I predominantly advise on, negotiate and draft a range of complex commercial contracts. These include contracts in respect of the supply goods and services; business process & IT outsourcing; third party logistics; franchise & distribution; sponsorship; advertising and marketing; and creative services.

I also have experience advising on a range of more specialist topics, such as data privacy (CIPP/E certified), e-commerce and consumer rights legislation; IoT and connected devices; and e-payment facilities.

Brands & Intellectual Property

Much of my work involves advising brand and content owners on how to protect their IP. I frequently advise clients on the registration of their intellectual property rights and how to structure arrangements in order to ring-fence (or maximise) valuable IP assets. In the past I have coordinated global brand protection programs for famous fashion brands, and provided regulatory advice for adverts and social media campaigns.

Media & Entertainment

I focus on a variety of commercial issues that impact the media and entertainment sector. I have advised on the content and release of video games; social gaming, gambling and other applications (in the context of both mobile and virtual reality devices); music streaming services and collecting societies; as well as on-demand video and linear TV broadcasting.

Sports Business

I am a passionate sports fan (an avid football fan in particular), so I very much enjoy transferring that passion into my work here at Lewis Silkin. I advise clients in the sports industry on a broad spectrum of legal and commercial issues, from both an advisory and contractual perspective.

My main experience in the sport sector lies in sponsorship, having advised on a number of big-ticket deals for domestic club and international football tournament sponsorship. I have also developed a keen interest in e-sports and how new digital content mediums have the potential to disrupt traditional sports broadcasting models.
