As a rockhopper lawyer, I am on call, by telephone and email, to advise employers from a variety of sectors on whatever HR or employee relations issues they need assistance with.
We deal with queries on all topics, including grievances, disciplinaries, sickness absence, family friendly provisions, performance management and TUPE. We also assist our clients in defending Employment Tribunal claims and dealing with data subject access requests, contract and handbook reviews.
I joined Lewis Silkin in 2007 as a member of the core employment team. Whilst there, I gained experience acting for employers and employees alike in all aspects of employment related matters. My work included handling complex claims as well as giving day-to-day general employment advice to a range of clients in a variety of sectors, including retail, advertising, and technology. I also spent eight months on secondment at a major international bank to assist with the employment issues they faced as a result of very difficult market conditions. I gave day-to-day legal support to the HR department across Europe, the Middle East and Asia and conducted grievance, disciplinary and dismissal processes.
I grew up in Lancashire (the accent remains!), studied and trained in Leeds, then moved down to London on qualification.
I moved to rockhopper in 2015 and now work from home in St Albans, where I live with my husband and children.
