I am a Senior Associate in the Corporate, Commercial and Partnerships Legal Practice Groups. I qualified in September 2012 after completing my training contract with the firm.

Day to day I advise both companies and individuals on a broad range of corporate and business issues, with particular experience of working with clients in advertising, marketing and PR sectors. In the past I have worked on a variety of corporate transactions, anything from advising young and growing businesses on start-ups to large scale group reorganisations to business and share acquisitions. I also get involved in advisory work such as advising on directors' duties and corporate governance issues. As a native Russian speaker I often assist the firm's Russian-speaking clients.

Prior to embarking on the legal career I was a professional ballet dancer, having studied at The Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet and The Royal Ballet Upper School during which time I had an opportunity to dance with the Mariinsky (Kirov) and The Royal Ballet companies. I still enjoy all things theatre and ballet but now increasingly more as a spectator.

I specialise in advising companies and individuals on private company matters throughout all stages of a company’s life cycle and I have experience in advising clients on:

  • incorporations and start-ups
  • fundraising and investments
  • directors’ duties and shareholder rights
  • corporate governance issues
  • mergers, acquisitions and disposals
  • reorganisations and restructurings

Advertising & Marketing

I work closely with clients in Advertising & Marketing and PR sectors, having advised a number of high profile advertising and marketing agencies in the past on a broad range of legal issues, including two large group reorganisations and a number of UK and cross-border acquisitions and disposals. I also advised one of the leading independent PR agencies, Four Communications Group, in connection with a £10m investment from Business Growth Fund.

Retail, Hospitality & Leisure

I have experience of advising a number of clients in Retail, Hospitality & Leisure sector on issues surrounding start-ups, shareholder disputes and I have acted on a sale of a UK-based retail consultancy, Fripp Sandeman & Partners, on its acquisition by international marketing services group, St Ives plc in 2015.
