Poundland judgment neither a surprise nor a victory

Following her comments on the Supreme Court’s ‘back to work’ judgment last week, Carla Davidson's subsequent article on the case is featured in HR Magazine.

The future of the unpaid work schemes in question is still uncertain, and the initial comments made by both parties suggest that an agreement is unlikely, which implies that litigation may be used to settle the matter.

Carla goes on to say that whilst both sides have claimed victory on this decision, neither party is an out and out winner. Ultimately though, the schemes can still continue.
