Lewis Silkin named one of Britain's best employers for sixth year running

City law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s best employers by The Sunday Times’ esteemed ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ survey. Coming in at number 54, this marks the sixth successive year Lewis Silkin has been included, and the firm is one of only eight law firms to feature in the list.

City law firm Lewis Silkin LLP has once again been recognised as one of the UK’s best employers by The Sunday Times’ esteemed ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’ survey. Coming in at number 54, this marks the sixth successive year Lewis Silkin has been included, and the firm is one of only eight law firms to feature in the list.
Amongst the various initiatives highlighted by The Sunday Times were the firm’s team building and fundraising efforts including a charity cycle ride to Amsterdam. There was also praise for the company’s strong social conscience, its work experience offering to young people who are not in full-time education or employment, and its support of local communities.
More than 250,000 employees from 897 companies were surveyed for this year’s ranking, alongside a thorough evaluation of each organisation’s key statistics, processes and policies. Responses for Lewis Silkin were highly positive across the eight key areas surveyed, including Wellbeing, Fair Deal and Giving Something Back. Particular highlights include:
- An 89% positive score for the firm’s approach to encouraging charitable activities
- Top 20 scores overall for staff not feeling under such pressure that they can’t concentrate or perform well
