Lewis Silkin client Lush wins trademark fight with Amazon

Following Lewis Silkin and Lush's successful trade mark win over Amazon, The Lawyer have covered the High Court ruling which determined that the online retailer breached the copyright of cosmetics company Lush by attempting to divert customers to rival products through online search results.

The article goes on to discuss how Lush brought the case after Amazon bid on keywords containing ‘lush’ within Google’s AdWords service in order to trigger results on its site, despite the fact it did not sell the brand.

The judgment marked a win for Lewis Silkin partner Simon Chapman who instructed Blackstone Chambers Michael Bolton QC for the cosmetics company.
