We are proud to have been named one of Britain’s best employers for nine years running.
This year we were once again recognised as one of The Sunday Times’ ‘100 Best Companies to Work For’.
It's the ninth year of being placed in the esteemed list, and cements our reputation as a great firm and great place to work.
As well as coming in at number 79, we were also accredited with an “outstanding” Two Star Rating for 2016 by Best Companies. Lewis Silkin is one of 8 law firms to feature in the 2017 list.
Among the Lewis Silkin initiatives praised in the survey were a commitment to reducing workplace stress. Staff are actively encouraged to share concerns at emotional support sessions, join yoga or meditation groups and take advantage of a subsidised gym.
Highlights from previous years reports include the firm’s participation in the ’24 Peaks’ charity event in 2015, raising over £30,000 for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals, the firm’s chosen charity. The Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals were selected in memory of James Levy, a much loved colleague who passed away in 2014.
Over 1000 companies and 240,000 employees complete the survey this year, which encompasses a thorough evaluation of each organisation’s approach to employee engagement. The survey analyses 54 questions across areas such as Leadership, Wellbeing, Personal Growth, Giving Something Back and Fair Deal. The firm received particularly positive scores for staff feeling they are proud to work for Lewis Silkin and feeling cared for as individuals.
We're looking forward to the next set of results and we'll be working hard to ensure Lewis Silkin is recognised as a great place to work.
